Core Values
Our partnership evolved from our deeply rooted passion for flowers. Over time, we realized our desire to bring a new floral experience to our clients and the idea of Chesapeake Blooms began to blossom.
Samantha McCall is the creative spirit behind Fleurish of Easton. Disenchanted with working on Capitol Hill and covering hard news as a journalist, Samantha switched gears to horticulture and gardening, over 15 years ago, where she found an outlet for her creative passions. After completing the Master Gardener training, she pursued a Certificate in Ornamental Horticulture and later a Certificate in Floral Design from Longwood Gardens. Continuing education is very important to Samantha and she has had the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s top floral designers. She is a member of the Independent Floral Designers Association in Washington, D.C., as well as a member of the Talbot County Garden Club and Garden Club of the Eastern Shore where she has recently served as president. Samantha frequently gives lectures and demonstrations on a host of topics at garden clubs and other organizations. Her most popular topic is flower arranging using eco-friendly methods. She also enjoys teaching floral design to groups of people, including a Girl's Night Out and children's birthday parties.
Dede Hoopes is the current owner of HoopsyDaisy Farm, a small cut flower farm in Talbot County MD. After working in many facets of business for over 25 years, Dede turned her loved of gardening into a career. She has found true peace on her flower farm and finds incredible joy in working with flowers. She is also a Master Gardener and active in Talbot County Bay-Wise Gardening. She has completed both horticulture and floral design courses at Longwood Gardens and continues to hone her skills annually through online and in-person workshops. She is also an active member of the Talbot County Garden Club as well as the Association of Speciality Cut Flower Growers and Maryland Cut Flower Growers Association. Dede has enjoyed sharing her knowledge through lectures on growing cut flowers.
